Paralegal

Prepare for an exciting and rewarding job in the law industry with our career-targeted Paralegal Program. You’ll learn what Paralegals can and cannot do in Ontario, gain well-rounded knowledge in different law specialties and develop your legal, administrative and communication skills to provide professional aid to your clients.

Our Program

Our Paralegal program is accredited by the Law Society of Upper Canada and prepares graduates to apply to the Law Society of Upper Canada to become licensed paralegal. Successful graduates will be able to represent clients in Small Claims Court, on certain summary conviction offenses and before administrative tribunals. The Internship component of the program gets you hands-on training with a business or organization that’s directly related to your studies, giving you valuable insight and real-world experience that will help you achieve your career goals.

We offer courses that expand and strengthen your knowledge of the law and your permitted duties as a Paralegal in Ontario. We cover everything from Torts and Contracts to Residential Landlord and Tenant Law, from Small Claims Court to Employment Law and beyond. All Herzing students are eligible to receive a free copy of the newest versions of Microsoft Windows and Office so you’re always working with the latest tools.
